DURING THE QUARANTINE

During the quarantine, the schools were closed and we were not allowed to go outside without a special permission. The towns were empty and the shops were closed. We asked our students to write what they see from their window during the quarantine, how their town is, what are their thoughts, their fears. Here you can read their impressions and see their photos.

CYPRUS: EMPTY STREETS

️We have been in quarantine for a long time to prevent the spread of the deadly virus, coronavirus. I must say it is hard to stay in the house all day- every day you can get easily bored! Of course, we are missing our family and friends a lot because we haven't seen them during this period. So it's pretty natural to feel lonely, tired and depressed most of the time but we have to stay strong and hope for the best.

CYPRUS: LOCKDOWN

The lockdown changed our lives in a tremendous way, we are now almost two and a half months isolated from our friends and families in order to prevent the spread of the virus. The view from my window is my empty neighbourhood.

Cyprus streets empty during Orthodox Easter

Staying at home during the lock down because of the corona virus isn't easy. I've missed my relatives and friends so much and I really hope this will be over soon so we can meet again. But until this is over we have to stay at home safe.

GERMANY: EMPTY VILLAGE

So I don't have a picture for you but what I can tell is that it's really quiet and empty in my village. Most of the time I feel bored. I miss my friends so I'm really happy when I can go back to school again. But also I miss my family because the last time I saw them was at Christmas. But there is also hope! Maybe I can see them in a few weeks and I ´n two weeks I can go back to school again. Then I can see at least half of my class.
Hopefully, you are all ok. So stay safe, stay at home that the spread of the virus slows down or even that the virus "disappears".
We can only do this together!
With Love and a big hug

GERMANY: A DIFFICULT SITUATION

I think the situation is difficult for all of us. Everything is different, we can’t spend time with the people we used to see every day, can’t go to school and can’t go on with our Erasmus Project. It will definitely get better and we will see each other again, but we have to go through that hard time TOGETHER and try to do our best! During quarantine I tried new things like skateboarding, learned new songs on the piano and tried other new things to make the best out of it and I think everyone should do that. This weekend I spent my time with my family outside, we went to a park in an area called  Bad Rappenau (picture 1) and after that we visited a lake in Eppingen. I really can’t wait to go back to school and get slowly back to “normality”. But of course I understand and respect that it takes long. We have to follow the rules to help our family and everyone else. As soon as the virus is finally gone, I will meet my friends again, play soccer and do things I couldn’t because of the virus.

I wish everyone health, positivity and power during that time!!!
Best regards your Doreen

GERMANY: THE QUARANTINE

The situation is for everyone bad,but we can do our best and after this time isn‘t there we all can be happy.
During the quarantine I felt bored. After one week it was away and I started to learn something new,
so it was awesome! I also could improve one of my hobbies a bit better.
It wasn‘t so great that we couldn‘t see our friends and our family,it wasn’t also great that we could take part in our Erasmus project, but I hope we can see us soon.
I was last week back at school and I can say that it takes some getting used to because of the face mask, the distance from our neighbour...but all in all was the first week back at school great because I could saw my friends again.

I hope you all are fine and stay safe, remains the positive and healthy!
